FAQ

How do grease arrestors contribute to maintaining sanitation standards in commercial kitchens? +

Grease arrestors play a vital role in maintaining sanitation standards by trapping grease, oil, and food particles from wastewater before they enter the sewer system. This prevents blockages, reduces odours, and ensures compliance with health and safety regulations. By keeping plumbing systems clear and minimising environmental pollution, grease arrestors contribute to a cleaner, safer kitchen environment.

What types of contaminants do grease arrestors typically remove from wastewater in restaurants? +

Grease arrestors remove contaminants such as fats, oils, grease (FOG), and food particles from wastewater. These substances, commonly found in kitchen runoff, can solidify and clog pipes if not intercepted, causing plumbing issues and environmental hazards.

How do food processing plants benefit from the installation of grease arrestors? +

Food processing plants benefit from grease arrestors by ensuring efficient wastewater management, preventing system blockages, and meeting stringent environmental and regulatory requirements. These devices minimise the discharge of harmful contaminants, reducing maintenance costs and protecting local water systems from pollution caused by fats, oils, and grease.
